24 APR 2005 I’m at my new home at last. Funny that it’s dark, I feel like it should be morning. There are lots of kitty-cats here too, I might like that. Oh hey, the milk tastes great and my bed seems oh sooooo comfortable. Wish Mom and Dad would quit coughing.
27 APR 2005 My first visit to a US Doctor’s office. I weigh 14.2-lbs. Not as much as they thought I weighed in China. Thank god Mom and Dad took me outa there before they could give me a shot. I even saw the nurses come in the room with a needle. My ear infection is better but they still gave Dad some drops to give me. They also gave him some ointment for the spot on my head…. It feels strange when he puts it on.
10 MAY 2005 I get to me Grandmom! Hey…. I think I’ve talked to her on the phone before. She seems a nice but I don’t know……..
11 MAY 2005 This Grandmom person isn’t so bad afterall. She’s always smiling at me and seems to really like all the stories I tell her. She looks a little like my Mom too.
31 MAY 2005 Doctor’s visit. Shots, I hate these. At least Dad grabbed me up before it got too bad. I weighed 16.5-lbs today.
11 JUN 2005 Mommy and I started having our “Girls Morning out.” We went to yard sales, I think it was 100! Mommy got me lots of toys. She also found a BabyBjorn for $5. She got me a great wagon that even has a cart on back, for my toys…. I think. And, I got 2 sleds for winter…… I don’t know what to do with them yet.
18 JUN 2005 Mommy and I had our “Girls Morning out.” I got to go to Toys-R-Us and pick out toys. Then we went to Panera to get lunch stuff. The store had out some Challah for samples. Mom gave me a little piece and ‘mmmmmmmmm’ was that ever good. On the way out, Mom stopped and got me another piece, ‘mmmm.’ I don’t know why she didn’t get some to bring home?!?!?!
24 JUN 2005 I’ve been saying “mmmmm” for a week now when Mommy or Daddy give me special treats. Today I went to the Doctor’s because I had a bump on my head. It was in my hair so Mom couldn’t tell what caused it. The Doctor thinks I’m allergic to mosquito bites (Mom needs to get me a Buzz-Off hat like Grandma told her too!). Turns out I have an earache to so the Doctor gave my Dad a ‘scription. I weighed 18.2-lbs with my clothes on. My parents think I weigh 17.5-lbs in my Birthday suit.
28 JUN 2005 Early Intervention came out today and played with me. They told Daddy that I might be a little delayed. My developmental state is closer to 8-months than 12-months. They also think they can help me catch up faster. The EI people also told Dad that it sounded like I was closer to 3-months when I left China. So I’ve already caught up 5-months without any help! Hey, I’m one sharp kid!
01 JUL 2005 Today I was at the Doctor’s office for shots. :-( I hate that!!!!! But Dad held right after so I knew everything was okay. I weighed 18.8-lbs today with just a onzie and a skirt on. Maybe I’m up to 18-lbs in my Birthday suit! |
